Windows / Mac / Linux: Pidgin has long been an easy way to use a lot of different chat on your desktop. With its 2.6 release, Pidgin finally capturing video, audio, and file transfer offers Google Talk, Yahoo, and others.
The big news in version 2.6, and in setting an error 2.6.1 as it is written-the video and voice chat support for XMPP, known mainly as the Jabber / Google Talk protocol.
